Our Slapton Holiday Cottages are the perfect base to explore the South Hams
Whether you want to explore the local attractions of Slapton Ley, Torr Cross, Start Point and the local beaches including Blackpool Sands, or venture further afield, the South Hams is on your doorstep and ready to explore.
Our holiday cottages are centrally located to the popular South Hams towns include the historic port of Dartmouth (6 miles NE), Salcombe (6 miles SW) and Totnes with the vibrant and interesting shopping (6 miles N). Kingsbridge is a 15 min drive away.
You can find great places to eat at pubs and restaurants all around the local villages, farm shops can supply you with delicious local produce and both Kingsbridge and Dartmouth have a cinema.
All summer long you can find local village fairs, as well as larger annual events including Dartmouth Regatta (end of August), Music Festival (early May) and Food Festival (October), Kingsbridge Food & Music Festival (end of May), Fair Week (late July), Salcombe Crab Festival (early May) alongside many more events.
Explore the South Hams by Water
Local beaches and sheltered tidal rivers offer endless water-based activities – paddleboarding, in particular, has taken off in the last few years. Head to Bantham if you’re after a day out surfing.
